It has secured funding to construct a GCEID administrative center and PC2 level laboratories and has funded the 0.2 FTE Director position and 3 research projects to date.
A GCEID workshop held some 6 months ago identified some high priority research areas. In order to pursue further these research ideas, GCEID needs to obtain bulk funding over a three to five year time frame as a crucial next step in its development.
The “linking ideas to opportunities” workshop will consider bulk funding opportunities and then link this to the previously identified research ideas and develop a measurable pathway to securing further funding.
